MEET BRITTNEY J. MILLER
After graduating from the University of Florida (Class of 2021) with bachelor’s degrees in biology and journalism, I moved across the country for the UC Santa Cruz Science Communication Master’s Program (Class of 2022).
Now, I’m an award-winning energy and environment reporter at The Gazette in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as a corps member through Report for America, a national service program that places journalists in local newsrooms to report on under-covered issues. I’m also a journalist on the Mississippi River Basin Ag & Water Desk, a regional collaboration between 10 newsrooms that covers agriculture, water and related issues throughout the basin.
With every piece I write, I hope to make the world a more informed, motivated and curious place.
